Delicious food…really truly delicious. Exceptional service and kindness exuding from staff!
I was feeling sick with the flu and staying at home when someone recommended I try Ambassador Restaurant. I called to place my order and explained what was recommended to make sure I got the correct dish—Shiro with Injera—and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, hot, and comforting, giving me the energy I needed while I wasn’t feeling well. What I loved most was how easy it was to eat. When you’re sick, it’s often hard to swallow food, but Shiro was smooth and perfect for the moment. What truly impressed me was their incredible hospitality. The owners treated me like family! Along with my order, they sent an orange with the driver, which I hadn’t even ordered. Later, they called to check on me and suggested mixing the orange with honey and ginger—a traditional remedy to boost immunity. The delivery was right on time, and everything arrived perfectly. This level of care and kindness is rare, and it made my experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for authentic Eritrean or Ethiopian food with top-notch service, I highly recommend Ambassador Restaurant! The owner, Selam, is truly amazing.
Outstanding Eritean food, service, and environment. Owner and his wife are great people that strive to provide outstanding value. It’s a hidden gem in the neighborhood and can not be missed!
My favorite Ethiopian restaurant! And I've tried many. Absolutely delicious, very generous portions, and unbeatable prices. Waitresses are very friendly, and it wasn't very loud on a Friday evening. Will definitely return.
Lovely restaurant. Visiting DC and came across this place. Really delicious food and very authentic ambiance. Got the Ambassador Tips and Vege Combo plate! So good!
A great place for a leisurely lunch. It was a Monday day and we happened upon this place. There were three of us, and ordered three dishes, 2 meat, the special tibs and the siga, and also a chickpea stew. All the dishes were prepared fresh to the heat level we requested. Extra injera was provided. My photo isn’t great but the food was!Service was attentive and there is a decent bar. Definitely recommend.
We went for lunch and were the only customers there so I was tempted to leave but boy am I glad we stayed! The food was so tasty and well seasoned! Probably one of the best Ethiopian meals we’ve had. Ever! And the ladies who worked there were so nice! Highly recommend! You won’t regret it!!!
I went with my friend and will had a very tasty meal best place to be
